A Legend: Dwyane Wade

Dwade, D-Flash or Father Prime… let’s take a look at the career of this big-hearted man who is also the reason I follow basketball.

Who is Dwyane Wade?

Wade was born on January 17, 1982 in Chicago. After graduating from Richards High School, he continued his college career with Marquette and made his way to the NBA.

2003 Draft

This class, which was shown as one of the two best draft classes ever, included Dwyane Wade as well as players such as LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Carmelo Anthony.

Wade was chosen by the Miami Heat, Rank 1, Rank 5, in this draft. Thus, the history of a club would change.

Champion Breeze on Miami Beaches!

Shaq, who was traded to the Miami Heat in 2004 due to problems with Kobe Bryant, became the biggest part of this team to play the championship. The Heat, which made it to the eastern final in its first season, had difficulties in the Detroit Pistons competition, the Pistons became the champion. Wade and his friends returned to work in the 2006 season to claim the club’s first title. Our team faced the Pistons, which they faced in the eastern finals last season, this time with an overwhelming advantage.

It  managed to eliminate Pistons in the Eastern Finals with a 4-2 run.

This time in the NBA Finals the rival was Dallas Mavericks with Dirk Nowitzki. When Dallas took the lead 2-0 in the series, the Miami team took a cold shower, but Dwyane Wade’s incredible 4-game performance, which will be remembered, brought the championship to the Miami Heat. Wade in that series; 34.7 points, 3.7 assists, 7.8 rebounds and 2.7 steals.

He won the championship of the club and himself by scoring 42 points in game 3, 36 points in game 4, 43 points in game 5, 36 points in game 6. Also, this performance earned him the Finals MVP award.

In the following years, injuries did not leave Dwyane Wade. His steadily declining performance picked up again with the kingdom of numbers and the MVP race in 2009.

The Year That Changed A Club’s History; 2010

With the joining of LeBron James and Chris Bosh to the south coast, Miami, the dream triple gathered for 4 years …

Under the leadership of Dwyane Wade and LeBron James they became champions twice. Although they made it to the finals in their first season, they lost 4-2 to the Dallas Mavericks.

In the second season, this time with rivals Westbrook, Durant, Harden in the finals.

Oklahoma City!

However, this time, Dwyane Wade and his teammates were laughing. With a comfortable series like 4-1, the championship came to the south coast for the second time.

Miami Heat, holding onto the series thanks to Ray Allen with one of the most important shots in history against the San Antonio Spurs in the 2013 NBA finals, continues

He won 4-3 and took the trophy home once again.

However, it was at the end of a dynasty. Dwyane Wade and his friends, who faced the San Antonio Spurs in the 2014 finals, were defeated 4-1 this time.

After the lost 2014 finale, LeBron James decided to return home to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2016, Chris Bosh could not play due to his illness. He had to quit basketball at the age of 33 because of his blood clotting problem. Dwyane Wade, who could not get the contract he wanted from the Miami Heat in the summer of 2016, went to his hometown, the Chicago Bulls. After a season there, he made his way to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the summer of 2017.

Everyone Turn Their Home!

The Cavs sent Dwyane Wade to the Miami Heat in return for the Round 1 draft right in the middle of the restructuring season.

The Heat, who made the play-off in the first season of their return home, faced the Sixers in the first round. Sixers won the series 4-1. Dwyane Wade, who is discussed whether he will continue playing basketball, announced that he will continue for another season with a video.

One Last Dance!

Playing his last season under the name “One last dance, one more season”, Wade managed to average 15 points, 4 rebounds, 4.2 assists. He even changed his jersey with various players throughout the Season, and it was something like tradition. Dwyane Wade had a baby during the season, I guess 2019 was a very good year for him and me ?. At the end of the season, they made their last game in Americans Airlines Arena against Philadelphia 76ers for the first time in the season with Udonis Haslem. He played 30 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists in the 76ers game.

Wade played against the Brooklyn Nets in his last match of the season for the Heat. If we say the triple-double is the place to go! Even though he played with 25 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, that match, which made millions of people cry, including me, put an end to that career.
